Guidelines which aim to offer a practice of gender mainstreaming in the budgetary process of policies and programmes drafted from different line ministries during the medium-term budgetary programme.

UN Women prepared this manual to aim members of women's organizations at a community level who seek to influence public policy in local governments. The manual is a tool that can be used on-awareness training sessions to promote opportunities for participation and advocacy.

Throughout their implementation, the work with GRBs has taken on specific and strategic characteristics in accordance with the proposed goals, the implemented initiatives, the tools used, the political and social context and the institutional and administrative willingness of each country or community. Nevertheless, we can establish the following core goals:
To sensitize stakeholders on gender issues and the impact of budgets and policies on them;
To make governments accountable for translating the compromises acquired on gender equality and budgetary commitments.

The programme conducts gender analysis of ODA in  relation  to  Ukraine’s  national gender  equality  commitments and analysis of the donor-governmental meetings on gender equality  and  define  a  room  for participation  of  gender  equality advocates.

Fiscal policy is defined as the part of economic policy through which the State, by choosing certain sources of income seeks to finance the exercise of its functions and activities and thus establishes the allocation of resources to implement them. Therefore, through fiscal policy the government acts on your expenses and income. It includes measures relating to multiple areas of the economy such as: the regime tax, public spending, internal and external state debt or operations and financial position
entities and autonomous or linked to it (Urquidi, 1962) organisms.

This manual for trainers give them knowledge
and tools to:
become familiar with gender analysis and its application in national planning;
explore the basic principles of gender budgeting and understand its value
added to the national planning;
understand how to mainstream gender in all stages of the budget cycle;
appropriate methodology of gender budgeting, particularly in the area
political participant (e) training.

Critical Path a GRB Treatment at a Inter Institutional Level in State Secretariats of Honduras. Action Plan for Its Operationalization.

This document is introduced in the framework of the implementation of Gender Responsive Project (GRB) that was implemented until June 2012 at the municipal level in Santa Rosa de Copan Budgets and under the implementation of the Partnership Programme between the European Union (EU) and UN Women for gender equality (2011-2015), called Financing for gender equality(F4GE).

UN Women worked in close partnership with the Jordanian Coalition on Budget and the General Budget Department to issue a more user-friendly Budget Brochure for all Jordanian citizens. As a tool to simplify and sustain the dialogue between the Government and the citizens, the brochure includes a comprehensive explanation on Gender responsive budgeting as well as highlights on budget’s figure targeting women and children.

The study aimed also at conducting a gender analysis of the sector plan of the Ministry of Water and Sanitation. It aims also at assessing the capacity of the staff on gender sensitive budgeting, programming and planning.
