11 February 2018, World Government Summit - Experts from the International Monetary Fund, the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), the Gender Balance Council and the Ministry of Finance, United Arab Emirates, and UN Women exchanged best practices in implementing gender responsive budgeting around the world. During the high-level panel Christine Lagarde, Managing Director of the IMF, said gender budgeting can make a difference in the lives of women and men while strengthening the economy and society. Zohra Khan, Policy Advisor, UN Women emphasized the power of public policies to address gender gaps.
